Backend Engineer

As a Backend Engineer, you will build and maintain the systems that sit between our AI and our customers: the APIs, data models and services that turn a continuous stream of detections into the dashboards and mobile apps our customers rely on every day.

You will work in a small, senior team with a direct line to our CTO, Product Managers and senior management, which means little distance between deciding something and shipping it.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable

leading projects

, not just completing tickets: taking a problem, scoping it, building it, and owning it through to production.

This is a fully remote role. We are open to candidates within 2.5 hours of Singapore's time zone.

What You Will Be Doing

Design, build and deploy scalable backend systems

that power our AI platforms and our web and mobile applications.

Lead projects end to end

, from scoping and technical design through delivery, with real ownership of the outcome.

Keep things fast as we grow.

Apply solid data-structure and algorithm fundamentals so our APIs and database queries hold up as data volumes increase.

Collaborate with our AI, Product and Engineering teams

to shape the technical roadmap.

Conduct code reviews
